The start and finish area will again be under the famous Airship hangar in Farnborough Business Park, which now stands as a monument to the past as a great piece of industrial art.
A revision of the route to avoid the two hills in the Farnborough International site makes the route faster than ever. Starting at the famous hangar, the route does a loop of the Business Park before heading out to the Frank Whittle roundabout and around the airfield to Fleet Road. Running along Fleet Road to Farnborough Road the route then drops down Government Hill and then back towards the canal along Shoe Lane, Laffans Lane and back onto the Fleet Road, from there the route returns to the finish in the reversing the outbound route.
Entirely traffic free, we feel that the Farnborough half is not only the first major half marathon of the year it is also one of the flattest, fastest routes in the South.
